Why Not Allow Abortions for at Least Some Cases?

Many people may ask questions about abortion on why the Catholic Church still does not agree on abortions for special circumstances; ie, rape, medical, incest and the list goes on. There will be plenty of time to deal with all these situations one by one. But for a quick answer, I would have to ask the question; "What is the problem?" You see, in basic problem solving, that is the first step in order to find the solution. Unfortunately, too many people just assume the baby is the problem. However, let's look a little closer at the situation. The problem usually lies in the reason why a woman may feel the need to have an abortion (In other words, it's really not a choice from her perspective). Maybe, she was raped. So the problem is the rape. That is the cause of the suffering. If the rape did not happen, the acute suffering would not be there. So we should address the problem, the rape. How? Prevention, counseling and giving her hope. Is the problem lack of money? Then as a community (not necessarily GOVT) should come together to help without enabling and training people to become dependent. A difficult balance. This is a blanket explanation that covers any situation. I look forward to going through the list of reasons one by one. But this can get us started.
